Taking HIS Name in vain

We have always been taught that by using the name “Jesus” in any situation other than prayer or preaching, you are using it in vain; it is even considered as blasphemy when his name is uttered outside of context.

Darkness versus Light

You cannot see darkness, as it does not have the ability to emit light or to shine forth. What you see is the absence of light. From the instance light shines into darkness, the darkness disappears and sight is possible.

To live is Christ

And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again (2 Cor 5:15 NKJV).

Geregtigheid teenoor ongeregtigheid

The Gift from GOD

Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life" (John 4:10-14 NKJV).

Are you losing it or are you giving it up?

To define the question, one has to determine the effect that it has in our lives. The one part of the question (losing) is a mere happening or event outside our control or the choices we make, the other part (giving up) is a result after costs are weighed and a decision is made. Both will result in us having less in the end, but only one holds a promise of gaining more afterwards.

Kind of ‘n Seun?
